in_bo vol. 12, no. 6 brings together the proceedings of the summer school "New Scenarios for Abandoned Monastic Heritage" held in Lucca between July, 25th and August, 3rd 2019. The summer school was promoted by the Department of Architecture of the University of Bologna, Centro Studi Cherubino Ghirardacci, Scuola Alti Studi Lucca IMT and by the Augustinian community of the Corpus Domini monastery in Cento. Edited by Luigi Bartolomei and Sofia Nannini, the issue collects essays and talks on abandoned monastic heritage that are intertwined with architecture, religion, law, economy, history and art.
