He was responsible for the well-being within the built environment, in its aspects: building-system integration, climatology, heat transfer, radiative exchanges, and interior comfort and has published over 100 papers. He is member of the ATI, GAA, AIA and UNI.
Mauro Cannistraro University of Messina

Engineer, PhD student at the Department of Industrial Chemistry and Materials Engineering of the University of Messina. He ‘s author of 4 international publications about environmental methodologies and monitoring microclimate indoor for the conservation of artistic’s heritage.
Roberta Restivo University of Messina

Architect, PhD student at D.I.C.I.E.A.M.A at University of Messina and expert on the subject Environmental Technical Physics. Author of research projects and international publications regarding the role of environmental parameters and methodologies for monitoring indoor microclimate directed to the conservation of artistic heritage.
Angela Mazzullo University of Messina

Born in Messina (1984, Italy), she obtains her degree as a Construction Engineer in July 2012 from the Faculty of Engineering - University of Messina, graduating with honors and presenting a thesis about “Problems regarding plant design in the historical buildings. A study case: the Palazzo dei Leoni in Messina”.

Abstract

The artistic and architectural heritage preservation and protection is a complex issue in which a double need cohabits: that of preserving and that of making the object to be used at the same time. The new screening technique here shown is configured as an evaluation tool of the deterioration of the whole organism, both before the damage occurs and after it took place, compared to an appropriate assessment of priorities. The method is meant to formalize an operative tool card able to convey precious information to integrate digital cartographic and alphanumeric databases: the Geographic Information System of the Risk Map (SIT CoR). It collects the damages and risks data highlighting the critical and managing the planning of conservation actions.
