Dal 1972 nell’Ufficio Centro Storico del Comune di Bologna ha redatto i progetti urbanistici e architettonici curandone le realizzazioni. Dal 1990 al 1992 ha diretto il Settore Verde e Impianti Sportivi. E’ stato Dirigente della “Qualità Urbana” dal 1995 al 1999. Autore di articoli e saggi sulla storia urbana e architettonica bolognese, è socio della Deputazione di Storia Patria per le Province di Romagna, di Italia Nostra e della AIPAI. E’ Presidente del Comitato per Bologna Storica e Artistica.

Abstract

The “Piano di Edilizia Economica e Popolare” (PEEP) for the historic center of Bologna in 1973 for a long time has been the subject of study and criticism. Defined as the “Bologna Experiment”, the Plan has received national and international awards and it was the subject of visits by municipal administrations, Italian and foreign companies, and universities. Forty years after, this contribution goes through the events of those years, providing a new interpretation and quantitative design.
