The architectural firm Amoretti Calvi is a planning and design studio whose works are characterized by an essential style obtained by the union of basic forms and elegant materials, in tune with each specific location. The formal choices as well as the compositional rigour of designs take inspiration by the surrounding context, obtaining spatial solutions which are in constant dialogue with the environment.
According to the Studio's stance, Cemeteries expansions are a special occasion to show the cemetery's design as the specular activity of town planning and design: widening existing structures – creating cemeterial suburbs – means strengthening the identity of the relationship between existing places and new ones where individual memory becomes part of the collective mind and where the living can remember the dead. The quality of this space will be a balance between the functional choices and the formal elements of each constitutive part.
