The fate of the area nowadays known as “ex Sta.Ve.Co” is an almost “classic” theme for students of Architecture and Engineering, for several generations now, perhaps since it was supposed that the area could be renovated to house the headquarters of the newly born Faculty, in the Thirties. In more than fifty years studies concerning the area has developed numerous proposals, plans and procedures for urban revitalization, recognizing its strategic position, particularly if related to the historic city and to the hill. On this last theme the structural plan of the Municipality of Bologna developed a strategy, following the disposal of the area and the willingness of the Italian government to highlight it, with new functions ad urban uses.
